How to prevent downloading of PDFs from JSTOR?

I need citation information from JSTOR but don't want the PDFs. Removing them one at a time, several hundred times, is something it would be good not to have to do again -- incredibly time-consuming and, after a while, painful.

So is there a way to turn the PDF downloading off?

thanks
  • Display saving of PDFs (and snapshots, if you want) in the General pane of the Zotero preferences.
  • I'm guessing that means to uncheck the boxes saying "automatically attach associated PDFs." I've done so and it is still grabbing the PDFs, which I then have to delete.

If there's more to it than unchecking the boxes, please elaborate.
  • that really should do it. Might require a restart of Zotero -- have you tried that? If so, which Zotero version, which browser?

(also, you can use a very simple advanced search --> saved search to delete them all in one step. No need to go one-by-one even if you don't get the preference to work).
