import from standalone to online library

I am trying to import the contents of a standalone zotero library to my larger online library. I followed the steps on zotero.org but the last step(the import step after you create and save the RDF) tells you to click on the gear and import....but that great doesn't appear for the online library no matter what I do? THanks,

Not sure what steps you're referring to. To get data into the online library you just need to sync.
