Export from Zotero to NVivo 10

How do you export files/collections to NVivo? NVivo itself is looking for a file (assuming zip. or PDF?) to import, and I can't access the PDF's of the files I've collected in my library so far. Any help would be appreciated!
  • Zotero has links to files in its RIS export and NVIVO can import that, no? Haven't played around with NVIVO, though, so can't say much.
  • When I try to export my collection in RIS it directs me straight to EndNote. Can't locate the PDF's from there, just compresses them to the title of the text. Any other way I can export my files as RIS?

    Thanks!
  • sorry, I'm confused what you mean by "directs me straight to EndNote" -- what does?
  • When I click on export for my library, Zotero brings up a selection box for export, which includes RIS, rdf_zotero, Wikipedia etc. I select RIS and it directs me to Endnote as the best application to open the file.
  • OK, so that's when you try to open that file, e.g. by double-clicking. But NVIVO _can_ open those files. EndNote just grabs them by default.
I can't really help much with NVIVO (you should contact their support), but this video at about the 3:20 mark seems helpful: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQkGAW5vPSs
