Add Patent number to bibliography

Hi, I would like the Chicago Manual of Style 16th editio (author-date) do give the patent number of cited patents in the bibliography.

Elsevier Harvard for example does that (I think also Vancouver adn IEEE). From the csl-file of Elsevier Harvard I found:

<else-if type="patent">
<text variable="number" prefix=". "/>
</else-if>

but I don't really know where to add that in my Chicago csl-file.
  • The style (and all other standard Chicago variants) is now fixed to include patent number as described under 14.230 and 15.50 in the Chicago Manual. The updated version will appear on the <a href="http://www.zotero.org/styles">repository</a> within 30mins (check the timestamp). Update your copy of the style by clicking "Update Now" in the General tab of the Zotero preferences.

    Styles also update automatically within 24hs for Zotero 4.0+
    In an existing document, you may have to switch to a different style and back for the changes to take effect once the style is updated.
