Zotero no longer working for some articles, still works for others

I use a sync of zotero for firefox and standalone (I am updated to the latest version that was just released today). Currently on my address bar zotero icons no longer appear under any websites including sciencedirect. This just happened when my error occurred. But there is a Zotero icon on the tool bar. Most websites still work (for example if I save the bibliographic info for this site it works fine). But certain scienceDirect and other web links no longer work (they worked previously). For example the link below:

For the sites that dont work, if they have an embedded data option that always works.
When they dont work a "saving to library" message appears but it never saves and exiting firefox does not quit firefox (it still runs in the background). I have to force quit firefox. If I try to save information from another site without quiting firefox after this first error I get an error: "Could not save item"

Seems pretty random,
I'm running a scan to look for Malware just encase.
