Does anyone know how to change the formatting of the numbers themselves in Zotero? Right now they look like normal footnotes, but I need them to look like this: "[1] [2]" etc.
In text citations are formatted according to the citation style you use. ACS always uses superscripted numbers, but there's a large range of styles using numbers in square brackets, e.g. https://www.zotero.org/styles?q=Current Proteomics
Oh geeze. This isn't lining up, unless there's another ACS - and yet, except for the []s, the style matches ACS perfectly. Here's what the journal instructions say:
"• In the text, reference numbers should be placed in square brackets [ ], and placed before the punctuation; for example [1], [1–3] or [1,3]. For embedded citations in the text with pagination, use both parentheses and brackets to indicate the reference number and page numbers; for example [5] (p. 10). or [6] (pp. 101–105).
• The Reference list should include the full title as recommended by the ACS style guide. The style file for endnote, MDPI.ens, can be found at http://endnote.com/downloads/style/mdpi

Any thoughts on how I might get ACD and []s?
The paper I'm working on has hundreds of citations. :-(

@Dan -- it looks like zotero.org/styles no longer searcher for title-short, which is too bad. Any chance of fixing?
