Why does zotero do this? Using title as author

For example, if I want to use this website as a source: http://www.sciencebuddies.org/science-fair-projects/project_ideas/Micro_Safety.shtml

Using the style: Elsevier Harvard

The citation will be: (“Microorganisms Safety,” n.d.)

The reference will be: Microorganisms Safety [WWW Document], n.d. URL http://www.sciencebuddies.org/science-fair-projects/project_ideas/Micro_Safety.shtml (accessed 5.3.15).

However, if I use https://www.citethisforme.com/ and use the exact same style: Elsevier Harvard

The citation will be: (Sciencebuddies.org, 2015)

The reference will be: Sciencebuddies.org, 2015. Microorganisms Safety [WWW Document]. URL http://www.sciencebuddies.org/science-fair-projects/project_ideas/Micro_Safety.shtml (accessed 5. 3. 15).

citethisforme seems to use the wrong date (just because it was accessed in 2015 doesn't mean it was created in 2015), but zotero seems to use the title of the article instead of the organization as the author.
  • For pages like Sciencebuddies, Zotero doesn't really import anything in terms of citation data, so it's upon you to fill that out.
citethisforme seems to guess the domain name (i.e. sciencebuddies.org as the author -- that may work sometimes, sometimes it won't make any sense, so I don't really think that's the better choice. E.g. in this case, if you want to use an author, "Science Buddies" seems more appropriate to me).
