Agronomy Journal add to library

Hi,
I used to be able to import citations from Agronomy Journal in Zotero stanalone, but it is no longer the case. I use Chrome, but tried with FireFox and I don't see the "add to library" icon in the address bar either. I tried with other journals and was able to add citations to library. It seems to be the same for SSSAJ, JEQ, Vadose Zone Journal, Crop Science, Crop Management and all journals from the ASA-CSSA-SSSA. Is there a fix for that?
Thanks
Louis
  • You may try:
    https://www.agronomy.org/publications/aj/abstracts/107/2/506
    for example.
    Thanks
  • you don't see any icon on that page?
We don't have a dedicated translator, but Zotero does pick up the DOI of those articles and allows you to import them.

Which Zotero version are you using (under about Zotero in the gears menu).

Are other pages working for you?
  • In fact, I see the folder icon on that page, but it is not doing anything when I click on it.
I am using the Zotero version 4.0.25.2.
Yes, other websites such as JStor or BioOne (ex: http://www.bioone.org/doi/abs/10.1614/WS-D-14-00010.1) work for me, but all journals from the ASA-CSSA-SSSA tri-societies (see links below) don't, just the folder icon appears. They all have the same system.
    Thanks

    ASA: https://www.agronomy.org/publications
    CSSA: https://www.crops.org/publications
    SSSA: https://www.soils.org/publications
  • start by updating to Zotero 4.0.26.1 -- that will have this working for you at least with the folder/DOI.

@aurimas -- do you recognize the system? I feel like we should have this already? It's very straightforward, either via RIS or via EM.
  • OK,
After updating, clicking the folder gives me a list of publications (same as if I was in Google Scholar search page) and the actual publication I am reading is part of the list (a long list of about 40-50 papers). I still don't see the direct "add to library" icon.
    Thanks
  • yes, that's expected at this point. It picks up all DOIs on that page and lets you pick which ones to import.
