Can't manually enter items - right hand column is now blank

I assume a new version of Zotero is in operation. I can't add information manually now when I click on , and the right hand column doesn't seem to come up. I'm on an old computer(Mac OS X, 10.6.8), though I also use a Toshiba laptop running Windows 8, which I haven't had a chance to check (my daughter has borrowed it for finishing her thesis!).Any suggestions?

you've just hidden the right-hand pane. Click on the bar at the far right to show it again.

Thanks - there was a little grey dot on the bar which operated it - had previously tried elsewhere on the bar without success (saw the advice elsewhere) All good now.

(You can drag from anywhere on the bar. The dot is just the only place where you can click once to open it.)
