New Site to add to Translator

I dont see the Zotero folder in my Address bar, can we have it added ?

Is there a separate process to add sites to translator.
Is there anything else we need to do to have the icon appear ?

  • I have access to history vault, but it doesn't look like we'll be able to (easily) support it. I don't see any export options and the layout is quite different from other databases.

    No access to LI though.

  • These databases require institutional subscriptions. Adamsmith and I both access databases through Northwestern University and NU only subscribes to history vault.
  • it's a for-pay database, not sure why it would be surprising that we don't have access. Obviously not every library subscribes to every database (and yes, I tried that link & also searched through the list of databases we subscribe to).

  • It's an IP-based login, but if you want to do that for the whole university... my IP is within 165.124.40.XXX

  • Also, by "could not access" we mean the actual content. Obviously the website loads.
  • I've sent you the account ID via PM--same as for aurimas, though, that's Northwestern University's account.

  • So after logging in, I get redirected to http://www.conquest-leg-insight.com Is that supposed to happen? I thought this is being migrated to li.proquest.com/legislativeinsight

    I see that we do have a translator that used to work on conquest and the website offers export, so we might be able to fix this quite easily. Please do confirm that I'm supposed to be looking at that URL.
  • Actually, I was just having some session issues. Looks like the translator is working fine on http://www.conquest-leg-insight.com

    As we are testing this is not yet made public, so the redirect may be taking affect.

  • yes - it works with the current hosting service i.e. conquest. and not with the new hosting i.e. Proquest.
  • On a side note, seems like ProQuest's Flow would be at a better position to make this translator work, seeing how Flow uses Zotero's translators anyway. Not that I mind working on this... just a thought.
  • Not all cuistomers will have FLOW.

    I sent an email with an alternate method to access the new hosting site.
    Let me know if the redirect continues to come into play or you do see the new site.
  • Right, we would gladly take a pull request for that translator from FLOW. I'm just saying that if they made it work for FLOW, the same translator will work for Zotero (in theory anyway), and vice versa.

  • Sorry for the delay. Had some time to look at this today, but it doesn't look like the credentials you provided are working any more. I'm also experiencing problems accessing history vault via my university's subscription. Sent you an email.
