when several references are cited at the same in-text location (say at the end of the first sentence of the paper) they should appear as:
1-5
currently they appear as:
12345

adjacent citations aren't merged in Zotero (as opposed to e.g. Endnote).
Input this as a citation with multiple items and it will come out correctly: http://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_usage#citations_with_multiple_cited_items
