Tag papers with a rating

I think it would be handy to have a column where you could tag a paper with say 1-5 stars. while this is very generic, its a great first filter when starting a new project and trying to sort through a weeks worth(dozen to hundreds) of papers in order to decide which are most important to take to the next step. while i make good use of collections and tags (i think anyway), i find it difficult to quickly sort literature at the start of a project where I'm just fishing for resources, and can gather several dozen papers in an hour with my library.

Tags and collections are great once you have narrowed your scope and your pulling specifics, but Zotero lacks a course filter.

Anybody else deal with this problem? or have another solution?
