download does not appear in extensions

After my zotero icon went missing ***AGAIN*** I re-downloaded zotero. BOTH for windows and for firefox. It does NOT show up in extensions. I re-downloaded a hundred times and still not in my extensions. This is really ticking me off. It appears Zoterio wastes as much time in trouble shooting as it saves in essay writing

    Doing anything more than twice is just a waste of time & won't help. What happens when you download Zotero? Do you get an install message?

    I have already visited these sites from reading other posts. Nothing helped.

    when I download zotero for firefox a pop up appears saying 'a few seconds remaining' and it never goes away!! why isnt it downloading into my add ons

    that's either a problem with your network, or with your Firefox. Even if there were an issue with installing Zotero (and there isn't), you'd get until the "install" dialog for add-ons, which doesn't sound like it's the case.
    You can try connecting on a different network, or you could try downloading the Zotero add-on with a different browser and the installing the .xpi in Firefox (simply by opening it with Firefox), but beyond that we can't help you much.
