Style Request [IEEE including Series Title]

I'd like to ask if it is possible to expand the IEEE style so that the series title is included into the citation (if there is a series title given). For example there are some conferences where the proceedings are published by Springer in these special Series that have titles like "Lecture Notes in Computer Science" etc. So the title of the conference proceedings are cited but not the series title.

I would alter the code myself but as I'm not used to this kind of thing it would probably take ages.

Can somebody help me?

Further background: "Lecture notes in computer science" is the serial title and is associated with an ISSN. However, at least some of the metadata formats that Springr provides include the confence name instead of the serial name. Some of these also have ISBNs to treat each issue as a book.
