MLA 6th edition

I'm currently having issues with the MLA 6th edition format.
For some reason if I don't input a volume number for my references, it still creates it on the exported cite.
----
I.E:
Hamilton, Earl J. El Tesoro Americano y la Revolución de los Precios en España, 1501-1650. vols. Barcelona: Ariel, 1975.
The correct format should be:
Hamilton, Earl J. El Tesoro Americano y la Revolución de los Precios en España, 1501-1650. Barcelona: Ariel, 1975.
----
I keep having to remove the "vols" bit in every single reference.

Anyone is having similar problems?
Or someone knows how to correct it editing the source code?
  • I don't think anyone has touched that style for a long time. The 7th edition of MLA came out four years ago. We're leaving the 6th edition up as a legacy, but I don't think one of the usuals is going to take the time to fix this.
You can see if you can manage yourself with the visual editor:

  • I can confirm this. Line 404 in the style. But it hasn't been modified for years. A conditional might be enough to fix that.
