APA Update for electronic books

I might not understand how to do it, but I couldn't find information. Please make provision for electronic books.

Janis, I. L. (1989). Crucial decisions: leadership in policymaking and crisis management [Google Books version]. New York, NY: The Free Press. Retrieved from http://books.google.com/books?id=qzn2qgMxNZ4C&printsec=frontcover&dq=crucial+decisions:+leadership+in+policymaking&cd=1#v=snippet&q=%22illusion%20of%20unanimity%22&f=false

Edition creates ( ) and not [ ] required for electronic books.

And make provision for them to have chapters too. Here's some help:

  • Zotero will already print the URL for books (in APA and other styles).
It won't do the [Google Books version] thing - you can hack that if need be (include it in the title field in square brackets and put it between brackets to get rid of the italics), but right now I'd just ignore it.

We may or may not add a provision for that in Zotero eventually, but it'll take a good deal of time. Style manuals kind of make up and change these rules around so much - and actual publisher show very little inclination to use them - that I don't think it's worth spending much time on until things have settled.
