Using collapse in chicago full note style

When I add in <citation> the <collapse="year"> option, the style doesn't show the change. It's just a problem of the style? In that case, how I should change it? The Spanish legal style can do the collapsing, but I've been unable of finding a solution. (I'm using zotero 3.0.8)
Thanks,
  • Could you provide an example? I find it hard to think of a citation that could (let alone should) be collapsed by year in Chicago style.
  • Something like this:
Chesterton, G.K., Alarms and Discursions, third and cheaper edition London, Methuen & Co 1924; The Napoleon of Notting Hill, Arc Manor LLC 2008.
Want I want to have is the author displayed only once, when the references have the same author.
  • I see - that's not what this was designed to do, but according to the specs it should be possible. I'll have a look.

Obviously you can use suppress author in the word processor plugin as a workaround.
  • That's what I've been doing. But as I recently discovered the possibility...
    Thanks for the help.
  • this should work now with the newest version of the Chicago style.
