Style Request: Diversity and Distributions

I found in the forums that someone created this style and wanted to submit it back in 2009, but I can't find it in the repository. Surely its there with a different name?

author guidelines for this journal:http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/journal/10.1111/(ISSN)1472-4642/homepage/ForAuthors.html
  • closest I can find is "Environmental COnservation" but I notice one difference is that it needs a "," after journal.
  • oh, Mammal Review is even closer.
  • Please list the differences (if any) to Mammal Review
    (see 2. here)
    https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles/wiki/Requesting-Styles
  • needs periods after author initials, needs comma after journal, journal volume number needs to be in bold, needs comma instead of colon after journal volume number, the use of "&" before last author and between authors when there's only 2...I'm sure there's more, but the author guideline only lists a few examples.

If it helps, there is an Endnote (.ens) reference style available for D&D. I'm aware that I can import this into Zotero, but it has some flaws, like it doesn't list in alphabetical order as required by the journal, and the lines after the first are indented and they shouldn't be. So it looks as if the .ens file isn't being utilized correctly.
  • Hello,

I would like to know if the style for Diversity and Distributions has been created and uploaded?
  • Here is an open access article as an example:
    http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/j.1472-4642.2012.00883.x/references

    Here are the author guidelines:
    http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/journal/10.1111/(ISSN)1472-4642/homepage/ForAuthors.html

And here is the EndNote style:
    http://authorservices.wiley.com/jendnotes/Divers_Distrib.ens

I list the main differences between Mammal review and Diversity and Distributions as exposed by BenLabay below for easier reading:
    - Needs periods after initials
    - Needs commas after journal name
    - Journal volume number needs to be in bold
    - Needs comma instead of colon after journal volume number
    - Needs '&' before last author

I hope this can ease the work of the developers.
  • the style is now up - turns out it's actually the same as Journal of Biogeography, which was on the repository all along.

    Thank you very much Adam!
