Style Request JOSPT

I would like to request a new style

It is the style for JOSPT

As far as I could see, it is very similar to American Medical Association (AMA) - alphabetical

The differences are that the above style insert the issue (23), (5), etc and it inserts a "Available at: [Accessed Month XX, 20XX]"

The style for JOSPT does not require the issue, does not require the "Available at: [Accessed Month XX, 20XX]" and it requires the DOI at the end.

A free paper could be downloaded here http://www.jospt.org/issues/articleID.1037,type.2/article_detail.asp

Any help would be greatly appreciated
Cheers
  • will take some time.
  • I have been trying really hard to stick to zotero, as a matter of principle. I don't think we should have to pay the amount of money charged when buying endnote for example. However the only three times I asked for help over here, for simple changes in the style, just like this one above (as a not so experienced user of endnote, I know for a fact that making this in endnote wouldn't take more than a few minutes), the help I got was like this one above. I am guessing you'd rather have people like me away from zotero, unfortunately.
  • I have no idea what you're talking about. I'm telling you that this won't happen right away. There are other people who are in front of you in "line". I'm doing this for free and in my spare time.
If you want to do it yourself, see here
    http://www.zotero.org/support/dev/citation_styles/style_editing_step-by-step

Last time you asked I requested that you provide the info we ask for and you never replied.
  • It took some time as I am a physiotherapist and know nothing about programing but I managed to make it myself. How do I make it available to other people?

If you want us to upload it to the repository (which we're happy to do), make sure you check that you've followed all the requirements listed here:
    https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles/wiki/Style-Requirements
I know it seems tedious, but with close to 2000 styles we need to enforce unified standards to maintain some structure.
  • Hello,
Has this style for JOSPT been uploaded?

    Hi Zotero Comunnity!,

Would be very helpfull to know if anyone has been uploaded the style for JOSPT.
  • It seems that this style is still missing in the repository.
    https://www.zotero.org/styles?q=Orthopaedic
But you can try to find a similar style and change it (http://editor.citationstyles.org/about/) or you can request new style (https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles/wiki/Requesting-Styles)

    Hi LiborA!!! thnks
It seems like JOSPT is the same that JAMA: https://www.zotero.org/styles/jama, that acctually it's available.

JOSPT and JAMA use an AMA style (American Medical Association Manual of Style, 9th Edition)
I create new dependent style - now it is in the progress of validation.
  • Great! Thanks!
Usually how much requieres the validation?
  • quick, but it doesn't really matter for you either way. The new style is identical to the JAMA one, so you can just use that.
