Add Item by Identifier: Two ISBNs not working correctly

    Has the bug been solved? I just tried adding two ISBNs to my Zotero. One didn't result in any entry, the other gave me another book which wasn't mine. The titles I added are well known books.

    The original issue report was about there being no feedback in the web library when an ISBN lookup finds no results. This issue has now been resolved, and you should see a message in the top-right corner in such cases.

    ISBN lookups may often fail in the web library. We do our best to keep them working, but there's no dedicated metadata service for ISBNs (unlike for DOIs), and the main source often blocks requests. You will often get better results with the Zotero desktop app.

    To look into this further, we would need to know the exact ISBNs for which the lookup failed.

    I was using the Zotero desktop app. Here the two ISBNs: 0713990724 and 9780811226158.
