Windows installer version info still says 7.0 (Zotero 10.0.6)
The version information embedded in the Windows installer Zotero-10.0.6_x64_setup.exe (downloaded from zotero.org on 15 Oct 2026) still reports version 7.0:
SHA-256: 1CF48672C17C4BE057D28B309875204F35B52B7D045D38BB7A1992828828B124. The file is validly signed by Corporation for Digital Scholarship.
To reproduce: right-click the installer → Properties → Details, or in PowerShell run (Get-Item .\Zotero-10.0.6_x64_setup.exe).VersionInfo.
This matters for anyone deploying Zotero with scripts or IT tools that read the installer’s version. They see 7.0 and treat the current installer as older than an installed Zotero 10, so they either skip the upgrade or keep reinstalling it. It looks like the version may be hard-coded in the installer build rather than taken from the release version.
Could the installer’s version info be set from the release version at build time? Thanks!
