Safari extension is unusable and constantly reloads pages

The problem is in the title. After downloading Zotero for the first time and making my account, the Zotero Safari extension is unusable. When turned on through Safari extensions (with read/write permissions on for all websites), all webpages briefly load before crashing and reloading, with the error "webpage reloaded because a problem occured." Any help would be very appreciated! My error code is. 1224835921.

    You’re running a version of Safari, and possibly of macOS, from December 2025. That’s many versions behind the current Safari version, so start by updating macOS and/or Safari.

    Resolved. Apologies! I wasn't aware I was running such an outdated macOS.
