iPad pdf disappeared (iOS Debug Log: D1219906611)

I spent some time marking up a PDF attachment of an article on my ipad in Zotero, and it now seems to have disappeared. The article shows in other places like in my web library and on my laptop, but the attachment won’t pull up there either.

Any suggestions?

    We're looking into how this might have happened.

    Do you recall the exact steps of adding that file? Did you get a sync error at any point? Were you offline when you saved the file?

    To recover: the annotations are still in place, but the file isn't, so you'll need to add back the exact same PDF in the desktop app:

    1) Download the PDF in your browser and save it to disk.

    2) In Zotero, right-click on the file → Show in Finder / Show File. You'll get a file-not-found error.

    3) Click Locate, and select the file in your downloads folder.

    Zotero will automatically copy the file into its storage folder, after which you should be able to open the file and see the annotations.
