Hello,
I am using Zotero 8 with Microsoft Word on Windows.
I have one specific Word document with the following behaviour:
Refresh works.
Existing citations can be edited.
The bibliography is present.
Inserting a new citation always fails with the message "An error occurred while updating your document."
I have already:
restarted Word and Zotero,
restarted the computer,
reinstalled the Word add-in,
verified that inserting citations works in new Word documents.
Therefore the problem seems to be document-specific.
