In Text Citation

I am having trouble creating in text citations. The dialogue box where you choose what article you wish to us does not come up. All I get is 1 and at the bottom of part it says citation. Nothing else. Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this. First time I have ever had a problem. Thank you.

Please confirm your Zotero version (you should be on 9.0.4/9.0.5 or later) and then test in troubleshooting mode. If the problem continues, povide an error report ID here, together with a screenshot of what you are seeing

I have Version 9.0.5. Nothing happened in trouble shooting mode. This is what I see:

I see the red/green bar when I close this very briefly before it too closes. I do not get an error report.

The first picture looks right and that _is_ the dialog for selecting items. You should just need to press return or click the checkmark icon to insert a citation
