Custom CSL style installs but cannot be selected in Zotero

Hi, I’m trying to install a custom Harvard CSL style (UWE Harvard with narrative citation support). I believe the file is valid CSL 1.0.1, UTF‑8 encoded, and Zotero 9.0.5 (64-bit) accepts it without errors. It appears in the list of available styles, but Zotero will not let me select it.

Other styles installed via “Get additional styles” work normally.

I have already:
• deleted the style
• fully quit Zotero (including zotero-mcp.exe from Task Manager if that did not close)
• restarted Zotero
• confirmed UTF‑8 encoding
• confirmed the CSL validates (by uploading to https://validator.citationstyles.org/)
I believe that the <citation> block is correct.
The <style> tag uses class="in-text"
The <id> and <code><link rel="self"> are unique

The issue is:
the style installs through "Add from file...", but cannot be activated/selected.
Could you please tell me why Zotero is refusing to activate this style, even though it adds it to the list of available referencesy?
How do I fix the problem please?
I am running Windows 11 Home x64, fully up-to-date.

Post the file to https://gist.github.com/ or similar and provide a link here, along with a Report ID.

(But you don't need a custom style to create narrative citations.)

What do you mean by "cannot be activated/selected"? In the Style Manager in the Cite tab of settings? Nothing can be selected there — click any other style to see the same thing. You select a style when you go to use it in the various places in Zotero where citing happens.

If you're trying to select it somewhere else, provide a screenshot.
