batch moving saved PDFs into a new folder
Apologies if this has been asked before, but I couldn't find a thread that addressed this.
I am on a Mac.
I have a large library in Zotero, and use Zotero's file storage and syncing. It currently saves PDFs in alphanumeric folders in this location: /Users/myname/Zotero/storage
What I would like to do is put a bunch of items in a folder in Zotero, and then batch move the PDFs associated with those items into a separate folder, ideally in a location of my choosing.
I know this would cause duplicates - I do not need/want to MOVE the files. I want to be able to share the PDFs as a batch with non-Zotero users.
Does Zotmoov have this functionality? Is there a way to do this other than individually going to each item and showing it in finder, then copying it?
TIA!

tim820edited 2 days agoApologies if I misunderstand what you want to achieve, but you can just drag a selection of files from Zotero to a folder in your OS - a copy of the files will be put in the folder. That would allow you to "share the PDFs ... with non-Zotero users".

dstillman(You can drag attachment items — including to certain apps and webapps, like Gmail — if you select them specifically from under their parent items. But it may be easier to use File → Export PDFs, which will work with parent items selected.)
