creating a style with footnote ONLY citations, but no biblio

Hi,

I have created a style that correctly cites papers in a very compact way, but incorrectly does it as a biblio and not as a footnote -- footnotes come up as numbers only (see attached image).

What I want is for the footnote to come up with the citation as it is in the bibliography -- I do not care at all for the bibliography.

My style declaration reads:

style xmlns="http://purl.org/net/xbiblio/csl" class="note" version="1.0" demote-non-dropping-particle="display-and-sort" page-range-format="expanded"

and the child

category citation-format="note"

  • Please share the code via pastebin.com.

Generally though, as long as you don't click the "Add/edit bibliography" button it doesn't matter if a style specifies/styles the bibliography or not. It will not be used since you don't have one in your document.
  • Yes, I can avoid adding a biblio by not creating it, but I want what would otherwise be in the biblio in the footnotes.

  • I see. Then all you'd need to do is move/paste what is currently in bibliography>layout to citation>layout.
