Upgrade StorageBoolean conditions?

I'm trying to rewrite an existing csl file to create a custom reference style. I'm not used to the xml language, so I was wondering if it's possible to make something like a boolean condition in Java to write an if statement. I'd like (eds.) to display if there's more than one editor of an item and if there's only one then it should be (ed.), is there a way to count the number of editors?
