Android: attach files?

edited 5 days ago
Can I attach a file to an existing item in android, and if so, how?

Use case is that I'm on my phone, I'm adding an article via DOI and then want to add the PDF as an attachment. I am able to add the PDF as a top-level stored file, so good chance I'm just missing where to do this.

If this isn't possible, is it planned?
  • Just bumping this -- obviously fine if the answer is no, but would be nice to have that confirmed so I'm not wasting time.
  • Tap the (i) on the item row, scroll down to Attachments, and tap "Add attachment".

    Thanks, got it.
That's also where I had expected it, but it's covered by the sync notification which sticks around a very long time and claims to sync (exactly) 29375 items for every group (including many tiny ones like adamsmithtest).
I can try to report the sync issue separately (debug for a short snippet is D919457151 ), but would it make sense/be possible to scroll past the notification bar at the bottom to be able to add attachments while sync notifications are active?
