ending storage subscription
I need to end a lab storage subscription, unfortunately, and I wanted to check on best practices for storage transfer or storage management of group libraries with co-admins. 1. I imagine that if another member of a group library that I currently own gets their own individual storage subscription, that needs to be in place before I transfer ownership of the shared library to them in order to keep all of the files in that group library online -- is that the case? 2. If I or a co-admin decide we don't care about keeping the online files in a group library that is currently covered by the storage subscription, it seems that we just ignore it -- according to https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/comment/414747 there isn't a good way to cherry pick which files should be synced and which shouldn't. So if you do nothing when the storage subscription ends, all of the metadata will remain but the 300 MB of files that remain will be random? If you turned off file syncing, could you then selectively remove content from the online storage to keep specific items (and then not sync anymore)? Or would that not work if there were multiple group members, unless all of them turned off syncing? (Or would that not work for a different reason?)
Thanks very much for your help!

dstillmanNo, if the library owner no longer has sufficient storage, there's no guarantee about which files might be removed to put you under storage quota. You can't select specific files to keep while keeping the attachment items. You wouldn't lose any local copies of automatically removed files, though. You can always delete attachment items and empty the trash to free up space, but then the attachments will be deleted locally as well for anyone who synced.
