Cannot reinstall Microsoft Word Add-in from Zotero
One day, my Zotero stopped communicating with Word. I've been reading Zotero's instructions and the solutions offered in forums, but I have not been able to figure out what the problem is. I am not able to reinstall the Microsoft Word Add-in from Zotero. When I go to "Settings > Cite > Word Processors" I do not see the button "Reinstall Microsoft Word Add-in". Instead, that whole window is blank --the only option I see is "Use classic Add Citation Dialog."
I tried reinstalling Zotero, as well as reinstalling the Zotero.dotm file in the Startup folder. Nothing has worked so far. I am quite frustrated and somehow desperate because I rely on Zotero and cannot get any work done without it. I would greatly appreciate any guidance you can offer. Apologies in advance if a solution has been offered; I did my best effort but could not find any specific answer to this problem. Thanks in advance for your help.

Thanks for reacting to my post. Your reply led me to a webpage summarizing everything relevant to my issue, for which I thank you. The truth is that I had already reviewed that, but your reply led me to carry out a careful review of every point as a checklist. That helped me to discover the root of the problem. The key was this phrase: you may "have two copies of the Zotero app in different locations on your computer." I realized I had two slightly different named folders with copies of Zotero. I deleted both and reinstalled Zotero; that did it. I'm glad to report that Zotero is working normally now.
Thank you!
