Can't download/access pdf articles on my other devices

I have a Zotero account that I have been operating on my MacBook Pro. Now I want to access all my articles on my iPad and iPhone, and I can’t. When I click on a pdf file, I get an Error message that reads: The attached file is not available in the online library. Please check that the file has synced on the device where it was added.
I have upgraded my storage to unlimited, so I don’t understand why.
  • See Files Not Syncing. You need to sync the device where you added the files — just upgrading storage doesn't do anything until you actually upload those files.
