It wasn't capitalized in My Library (the database) but somehow it is now.

Now that I have engaged my brain, it's working much better. Sorry. Setting up IIS is a chore at best (long live Apache).
-
Doh. Now I see. Let me look at the IIS server (yuk).
-
Hmmm, when I compare it with a webdav setup that works, it looks pretty much the same. (3)(+0000000): Verifying storage (3)(+0000000): Getting WebDAV password (3)(+0000002): HTTP OPTIONS for http://psmith:********@192.168.1.100:8008/zotero/ (3)(…

Thanks for the link to the svn code. That will give me something to do a the weekend (instead of writing)

Okay ... my document is about 143 pages long and has about 466 citations. I copied the document over to a new machine and I copied my library over too. Inserted a new citation near the end of the start of the document. There was a short pa…

Hi Adam ... I'm using APA, but I suspect (given the behaviour) that the problem would also occur regardless of the citation style. It's because Zotero is refreshing the citations that word does a repagination (after it refreshes each citation). …

Arggh. I forget to be in draft mode and it's doing it again. That will be 10-15 minutes of where I can't do anything else with Word or Firefox. This makes Zotero pretty unworkable for me. And yet I have so much invested in it it is hard to walk away…

I'm using Windows XP SP 3. This has only really started happening since the last update ... but having said that, I've been away from work/study for the past month so I might not have noticed as early as I otherwise would have.
-
Emptying the trash has tidied up all the duplicate files with different file names.
-
Why yes I do. So, perhaps (having fixed McKenna) I should leave the rest (of the 'orphans) alone? (I note a few of the files have different names from one another ... and sometimes not. I'm checking on their CRC).

Hi Dan, Thanks for the suggestion. Searching (using Zotero) didn't reveal any other copy of the file. However, using the OS to search the storage folder found four other copies. I deleted those, added back the PDF to the Zotero entry. The …

Doh! So it was me all along. Thanks Dan (as always for a speedy response and solution).

Excellent. That would work for me too.
-
I.e. It's title case not sentence case (which is what APA will need when I do my bibliography).
-
The title is in mixed upper- and lower-case. Ideally it should be: Borrowing' theory: What does this mean and when does it make sense in management scholarship?

I really like the transform text function. I wonder why I never spotted that before. This problem happens in other situations as well. Looking at: http://www3.interscience.wiley.com.ezproxy.auckland.ac.nz/journal/122519643/abstract Th…

Okay ... perhaps then I need to look at the the translator for the Emerald site. What got me onto the DOI issue was that at some Emerald pages, Zotero says "Save to Zotero (DOI)" rather than "Save to Zotero (Emerald Publishing)". I'll have to …

Great. Zotero now successfully picks up the item. Alas, Zotero doesn't download the associated PDF file even though the link is there; is this a related problem or entirely different? For an exampl, see the DOI I originally gave, 10.1016/S…
-
I'm also having problems with DOIs. I don't think I have ever been sucessful at using DOIs to add an item. For example, this DOI: 10.1016/S1479-8387(04)01102-6 If I go to http://www.crossref.org/ and use their search box, the DOI locates the corr…

I'm glad you said it might work ... I thought I was going crazy, as I was sure it was working at one stage (maybe in 1.5 beta 1)
-
I've just download Beta 2. Thanks. The re-indexing works a treat.
-
Thanks Mark.

Yes, on the top right handside it says Welcome PeterSmith | Logout My Library | Profile | Settings | Find People And I'm following the my library link. And yes, logging out and in fixed it ... but why? Perhaps someone could look at…

Oh, the link that I'm following points to http://www.zotero.org/petersmith/3276/items

Okay, 20 minutes later it actually ended... and things look okay. Probelm over

I too am having problems with Eric. However, in my case Zotero does recognise that the page has bibliographic information on it. My translators are up to date. I've using version 1.0.7 with Firefox 3.0.3 The Eric page I'm using is: ht…

See http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/4107/word-overflow-when-inserting-bibliography/#Item_10 for the solution to the overflow problem. I also find Zotero slow. I've removed the bibliography ... it takes too long to update with 300+ entries. …

I think the fact that the number of pages is recorded in the pages field is good (and probably correct). The problem is that when the book in included in the APA bibliography, the page number(s) are shown when then shouldn't be. Rather than ed…
