change the save directory
By default, zotero saves all the stuff on my C hard disc under the firefox profile. I want to save all the stuff somewhere else. I did it once before (but forgot how I did it) and all my files are still there (in the other directory). By reinstalling firefox, zotero is not pointing anymore to this directory. Unfortunately "import" does not work as I never exported these files. Can someone please tell me how to change the save directory.
Thanks!
Thanks!

danhotchkissTo change the storage directory, click the gear icon on the Zotero header, and choose Preferences, then Advanced. Click Choose, and navigate to your old database location. You should see your database right away. If not, close and restart Firefox.

pukkiThanks. I had to uninstall my version and install a newer one because my version did not have an advanced button though I tried to update through the button in preferences.

dstillman Zotero TeamFor future reference: the "Update Now" button in the Zotero preferences is only for uploading translators and citation styles. To update the extension itself via Firefox, go to Tools, Add-ons, and click Find Updates.
