Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research

The journal, Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research, requires a citation style currently unavailable. The reference section format is the same as American Medical Association format. The in-text citation format is similar to IEEE only it is not superscripted (for example: Negotiation research spans many disciplines [3]. )

Any help adding this format would be much appreciated.

select, copy to a texteditor (e.g. notepad) and save as CORR.csl
(if you're on windows, make sure you're note saving as CORR.csl.txt - you will need to have hide known file extensions disabled: http://www.tacktech.com/display.cfm?ttid=193 ). Then drag the file to FF and click "yes" to install.

Thank you very much.

I copied it into Word (on my Mac) and saved it with a .csl extension. (I disabled the "hide file extension" setting in the Save As window.)

When I drag it into FF, it only gives me the option to save the file.

Also, when I try to install it through the Preferences menu in Zotero, it says that "it does not appear to be a valid style file".

What am I doing wrong?

use a simple text editor, no word processing software. Whatever that's called on a mac...
TextEdit I believe?
or SimpleText depending on your OS

I couldn't get rid of the .rtf in Text Edit. I had to go to Format_Make plain text.

I discovered one slight problem. The bibliography is supposed to be alphabetized by the authors last name. The current version numbers the references by order of appearance. Is this something you can change? Below is an exerpt from the intructions pdf i downloaded from Clin Orth Rel Res (http://www.clinorthop.org/author_and_reviewer_information.html):

References should be alphabetized by the last name of the first author of each work.
With multiple references by the same first author, the references should be alphabetized by the last name of a second and then third author if necessary. With multiple references by the same set of authors, the references should be ordered by the year. All references must be numbered in that order. List all authors.

On gist.github.com, you can also just click the 'raw'-link just above the style code. That will allow you to save the style, no text editor needed.

Urgent!!
The current "Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research" citation style only lists the first three authors in the bibliography.

I just realized that this publication requires ALL authors to be listed in the bibliography.

Can somebody help me with this!? -My manuscript must be submitted by tomorrow (August 24th)!!

I've confirmed the requirement at the publisher's website, made the necessary change to the style file, and checked it into the repository. You should be able to install the updated style file from this link:

CORR has modified their references so that the issue number is no longer included. I have submitted an updated copy of the style in the Citation Styles forum.

I have also noticed that the CORR revisions I get back all have the citation numbers updated with a comma-space delimiter (as opposed to just a comma). I have updated my local style, but do not have a GitHub account to update the repository.
