Citation count

There does not appear to be a citation count anywhere in the Zotero display window. When viewing my citations in Zotero or after selecting a subset by tag filtering etc. I would like to see a count of the number of citations selected vs total number present in the library. It would seem like this would be a basic feature of any citation management system, is this information currently accessible in Zotero ?

    Select all records in the middle pane and the number of items selected will be displayed in the right-most pane.
