Scribe or Filemaker and Zotero

I'm just beginning here. I'm using Zotero for web research. Now I need to create an historical biographical database, with all kinds of fields for each person.

My question: Should I create this in Scribe, or perhaps in Filemaker? Can they then be imported into Zotero? Can I build this directly in Zotero? If not, which is best for a biographical database, Scribe or Filemaker?

Thanks for any help for this newbie. Please answer directly.

Author item types and biographical fields are not available in Zotero yet, but this feature is planned (see forum discussions below). Once it's implemented, there will be a way to export biographical fields from Scribe to Zotero. Others on this list may know of other (preferably free?) software for biographical research.
