Currently, Zotero defaults to Firefox's language. Couldn't it have a language set independant from the one in Firefox? My firefox is set for French, but I thoroughly dislike the Zotero French localization. Other users in oddball situations might appreciate the possibility too. -

1) You can manually override your locale by typing about:config into the Firefox location bar. Then set general.useragent.locale to something other than fr-FR, such as en-US.
2) We invite you to join the localization effort underway at BabelZilla. Please establish an account at http://www.babelzilla.org and contact the lead French translator, Calimero988. If you move quickly to update the French strings, we may be able to incorporate them in time for the next release.
