Sync Preview: Cannot sync after signing in

    Okay, I installed 1.5 Preview, opened up an account on beta.zotero.org, and logged in successfully. However, when I try to upload my Zotero library by clicking on the sync button, I get an error message in Firefox's Error Console:

    Error: uncaught exception: Username not set in Zotero.Sync.Server.login()

    Curious, since I've already successfully logged in.

    Any ideas? I've tried this on both of my working computers, a recent iMac and a MacBook Air, with the same non-result.

    Did you enter your credentials in the Sync pane of the Zotero prefs?

    Ah, I think I've figured it out. Turns out I have to open Preferences within my local installation of Zotero and enter my login data there a second time. Didn't see that in the documentation.

    Looks like I have a sync in progress right now, although (as the docs say) there's no real indicator.

    If I have further complications, I'll add comments to this thread, which I'm keeping open in case others hit the same snag.
