What is the maximum capacity of the fields in zotero?

Is there a limit to the number of collections? Is there a limit to the "nesting" of collections (in other words, how many levels of sub-collections can you have)?

And is there any limit to the number or size of attachments per record or library? I am guessing no since they are stored on your hard drive.

If this information is in the documentation, apologies for posting here but I couldn't find the answers.

    Thanks

There shouldn't be any practical limits. For field length, SQLite is capped by default at 1 billion bytes (i.e., almost a gigabyte of data).
