Troubleshooting: Dragging of attached files broken in Ubuntu

    OK, submitted a bug report

    When I try to drag a pdf to my desktop it creates a "dropped text.txt" file with this content
    1. “The Time that Is Left agamben.pdf.”

    instead of the actual pdf file I wanted. The pdf in Zotero is fine - I can open it by using show file etc.
    Is this linked to not being able to drag files into Zotero (which I've also raised)?
    Zotero 1.07, Ubuntu 8.04 Firefox 3.01

    confirmed. this isn't limited to pdfs but seems to apply to all files dragged to the desktop from zotero.

    I'm not at all sure about this, but I think that maybe the drag and drop to and from Nautilus and Zotero isn't working because Firefox hasn't migrated to the new GNOME file system, GIO/GVFS.

    Ha, so neither an ubuntu, nor a zotero but a firefox problem. Well thanks for the pointers. Guess we'll just have to sit back and hope that it gets fixed at some point.
