I really like Zotero and find it to be an excellent tool for organizing my pdf documents. However, I find the note-taking system and report generation to be less useful for my area of research. Typically, I use an Excel spreadsheet to document key elements of a paper or study. I find that viewing this information in a spreadsheet document is easier to read and more useful than in the report format that Zotero currently supports.

Do you foresee a new version of Zotero that would allow users to take notes in a spreadsheet format? I am envisioning a tool that would allow me to create the following spreadsheet directly into an html window (or notes/spreadsheet window that doesn't open separately):

date authors title study design measures take home points
2008 author 1 title 1 cross sectional outcome findings...
1999 author 2 title 2 longitudinal outcome findings...
