I have followed the instructions for exporting my Endnote 9.0 file via both RIS and BibTEX on my Mac. Each time it creates a file with the extension .txt. I put this on a flashdrive, moved it to my EEE PC running Linux. I open firefox 2, click on zotero, click on the gear wheel, select import, choose the file, and get the following error:

No translator could be found for the given file.

    Can you please help?
    Thanks!
  1.
For RIS, rename the file with a .ris extension. For BibTeX, use .bib.

Hi, I tried it, and it worked sort of. A small file worked using .bib, but how do i import my entire file (over 3000 entries ..)?

What's the problem? Are you getting an error? If so, send in an error report afterwards using Report Errors under the Actions (gear icon) menu and post the Report ID here.

I have this problem, too. No matter what extension I try, txt, ris, bib, I get this error message. i am trying to import from refworks.

jezmynne: Open the file in a text editor, copy the first 15 lines of the file, and paste them here.

Dave: Is that the very top of the file? Can you e-mail the file to support@zot....org?
