In relation to this new feature:

The citation is not a field that counts for the final bibliography. Would it be possible that it counted as a field?

It may be possible using RTF fields, but we haven't attempted it. And even if it's possible, Firefox on OS X doesn't support RTF copying, so on Macs it'd have to be done via the command-line pbcopy program, which would probably make Unicode copying impossible. And Windows would probably has its own set of problems.

We may look into this at some point, but, as I suggest on the other thread, an auto-field-conversion feature in the plugin may be more likely to get implemented.
