Import / Export: RIS fields mapped to Zotero item fields?

    Hi

    I have a bunch of references in Excel files that I would like to load into Zotero and I think the easiest way (for me, anyway) would be to first convert them to RIS.

    Is there a list anywhere that shows what RIS prefixes to use to map to specific Zotero item fields (e.g., website type, call number)?

    As far as I know there is no easy spot to see exactly how Zotero's item types map out to RIS. It should be relatively self explanatory, and RIS has a rather small amount of fields, almost all of which have a home inside Zotero. You might try exporting a few items from Zotero in RIS and use those as a model for how the fields map across.
