Longer NY Times articles can span several pages, and if you don't load the “single page” version first, then you only get a piece of the article when you click "save to zotero". The single page version can be requested by changing “pagewanted=x” in the URL to “pagewanted=all.”
It would be really, really handy to have Zotero automatically save the single page version. Is there way to do this with Zotero, or would it require some kind of code hack/tweak?
If it needs a hack (and without knowing anything about Zotero innards!), I could see either tweaking an appropriate piece of code for when it starts to save a new item, or else replace the “save to Zotero” button with my own wrapper that could open the rewritten URL in a new window, call Zotero and then close. It would be nice if said hack could be implemented cleanly and distributed, but as long as it's functional, I'd be happy to keep the ugly duckling. :)
Thanks in advance for any pointers, suggestions, observations, etc. If it's just a matter of clicking an overlooked button in the UI, I'm going to feel pretty silly!
