    I restarted Firefox this morning, and, surprise!,my Zotero panel is completely empty, I do not see any of my references. Neither Zotero not Firefox were recently updated as far as I know. The Zotero showed the files a few hours ago. I did not move the directory or do anything else to the computer in the meanwhile (only word processing).

    Did you by any chance add (or enable) a new extension to FireFox? Sometimes those disrupt Zotero.

    If so, disable it and see if your references return. If they do, then please let us know what extension was the culprit.

    If disabling other extensions doesn't fix it, try the DB Repair Tool and, ideally, upgrade to Firefox 3, which fixes database instability problems in Firefox 2.

    Your error report is showing Disk I/O errors, which may mean a corrupted database or may mean a disk problem.
