    Hi,
    I find zotero very useful. Two additions I would love:
    a) a field in which I could record the date(s) on which I read the item in question
    b) a field in which I could record the quality of my reading: unread, skimmed, read carefully with notes taken, discussed in seminar, etc.

    I realize that I can sort of retrofit existing categories for this purpose, but it would be nice to have dedicated fields that I could then sort.

    I've made a cursory search for other discussions on this topic, but haven't found anything. Please direct me if I missed it.

    You can use tags for this (since your categories would be different from everyone else's).
