General: Will Zotera be able to generate references for material

    I just found Zotera, so apologies in advance if the question has been answered elsewhere.

    I search threads in various forums, specifically genealogical forums, and would like to know if Zotera will be able to generate references for material I find in a post or thread on a forum?

    Zotero does have a Forum post item type, that said many (probably most) bibliographic styles wont really know what to do with them. If you use Zotero's "Create New Item From Current Page" button you can generate a basic website item with a archived copy of the page. You can then try switching its item type to forum post and paste in extra relevant information.
